Open Enrollment Ready?

Open Enrollment starts in November, that means your clients are going to need help enrolling in coverage. All agents and brokers must complete the federal marketplace registration and training to assist consumers with enrollment through HealthCare.gov. Members of NAHU are being encouraged to certify through the federal marketplace agent and broker training program, provided by NAHU. It is also the only program run by an agent/broker association. It is on NAHU’s Online Learning Institute. The course includes webinar modules, a final exam, a real-time help desk by phone, and the opportunity to earn continuing education credits. NAHU members can also renew their certification for the low price of $57.99 (even those who completed training and certification on any platform last year—including through CMS directly).  Join NAHU here.

Insurance Agent Attention:

All agents and brokers must finish the federal marketplace registration and training to assist consumers with enrollment through HealthCare.gov. Agents and brokers who completed plan year 2017 registration can only assist consumers through October 31, 2017, when plan year 2017 agreements expire. Agents and brokers must complete plan year 2018 registration and training to be able to assist consumers with 2017 coverage during November and December 2017. It is also needed to be complete to help consumers enroll for the first time or re-enroll in coverage for plan year 2018.

 Why NAHU’s Training:

◾CE credits filed in most states and Washington, D.C. Check your CE rules for state training requirements.

◾User access to NAHU’s live Help Desk and technical support team by phone and email.

◾Self-study at your fingertips – NAHU’s training bookmarks your progress so you can pick back up where you left off.
