Healthy Breakfast Options
Agents, you have a full day ahead of you. Your schedule overflows with client meetings the whole day through. How are you going to ensure you have enough energy to be alert and enthusiastic with your clients all day? Start your day right by eating a healthy breakfast. Your breakfast decisions will impact your health, how you feel, and your work production. So, let’s examine healthy breakfast options.
Eat Eggs for a Healthy Breakfast
Eggs are one of the most nutritious foods you can eat. One large egg contains 13 essential vitamins, minerals, and 6.3 grams of lean protein. How amazing is the egg? It contains all the essential amino acids that the body cannot produce on its own. Its benefits are so rich that professionals give eggs a perfect protein score, and some measure all other food’s protein levels against the egg. Furthermore, consuming eggs for breakfast can also help you feel fuller, which can help curb snacking between client meetings and make your day run more smoothly.
Eating Oatmeal
Oatmeal is another healthy breakfast option. Oats contain beta-glucan, a soluble fiber that lowers blood glucose and cholesterol levels. Like eggs, eating oats can increase a feeling of satiety. There are different types of oats available for consumption. The most nutritious are fiber and protein-rich steel-cut (Irish) oats and rolled oats that are natural and unsweetened. Steel-cut oats undergo the least amount of processing. Both types of oats provide an energy boost in the morning. They can take a little longer to cook, so give yourself enough time to do so at breakfast. Instant oatmeal has a similar nutritional value to steel-cut and rolled oats, but instant oats do have preservatives, more sugar, and are the most processed. Slicing up a banana or other tasty fruit can enhance this healthy breakfast option.
Greek Yogurt Consumption
If you find yourself short on time to cook breakfast, try eating some Greek Yogurt. This healthy breakfast option solidifies your morning as a source of protein and provides plenty of energy that lasts long. The carbohydrates in this yogurt are from the simple sugars lactose and galactose that produce your boost in energy. Some Greek Yogurts are sources of probiotics that help digestion. If you are interested in this product, look for labeling that says the product contains live and active cultures. Adding fruit such as strawberry slices or blueberries will bring nutrients and flavor to your morning meal as well.
