ACA Special Enrollment Period
March 15 through April 30, 2015
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has created a special enrollment period (SEP) for individuals and families, who did not have health coverage in 2014 and found out they will be charged a penalty on their taxes for 2014.
For consumers who didn’t know, or didn’t understand they would need to pay a penalty, CMS will allow them to purchase ACA health insurance from March 15 to April 30, 2015.
