Empower Brokerage partnered with Mutual of Omaha to kick off their new Medicare Advantage plans. Mutual of Omaha also brought in an exciting guest speaker to help deliver their message of commitment: Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith! This was Emmitt Smith’s second presentation to Empower Agents. The first was in Dallas at the Omni Frisco Hotel. This presentation was at the historic Hotel Emma in San Antonio. Emmitt Smith once again wowed the audience with personal anecdotes about his childhood, and his dedication to teamwork which helped him achieve his dreams.
What is Mutual of Omaha’s new Medicare Advantage Plan?
First, what is Medicare Advantage? In simple terms, MA plans cover everything Original Medicare covers. Most include prescription coverage (Part D) as well as extra benefits like dental and/or vision. MA plans are an “all in one” solution, giving a simpler, more affordable Medicare experience.
Starting October 15, 2019, CareAdvantage, Mutual of Omaha’s new Medicare Advantage plan, will be available to sell. This plan might be a good solution if your clients…
- want the ease of an all-in-one plan
- would like a plan that comes with extra coverage for things like dental and vision care
- would rather pay no or low premiums each month and only pay copays or co-insurance when they use select services
- would like prescriptions to be covered in their plan, too

- want the security of knowing primary doctor will be involved in all health care decisions

Emmitt Smith
Empower Brokerage agents traveled to San Antonio from Laredo and Edinburg, Texas to attend Mutual of Omaha’s kickoff meeting. Fred Singleterry from Laredo shared what an honor it was to meet a living legend like Emmitt Smith. “I am a huge fan. I never saw him play in person but hearing him speak was very exciting.” said Fred. “His message about dedication and teamwork was extremely motivating. Mutual of Omaha picked the right gentleman for the job.” Fred was also one of the lucky attendees who won a signed football by Emmitt. In fact, Empower agents won four of the ten signed footballs in the raffle! The Laredo and Edinburg team all agree this was an experience they won’t soon forget.
