Meet Gina Delgado

With Empower Brokerage continuing its push during the 2020-2021 season, we want to make all agents aware of the resources they have. One of the best, if not the greatest, are our our Regional Directors. For those in Laredo, Gina Delgado is the coach in your corner.

Years of Experience

Delgado has been working in the insurance world for over three years now. “I originally began as a life and health insurance agent for United Healthcare under a call center company… I became licensed [in] 50 states and worked on helping customers choose a Medicare Advantage plan that would fit their needs.” Delgado has enjoyed being able to help other agents expand their line of product knowledge along with providing them strategies and skills to overcome client resistance. “It is important for our agents to be able to point a product to a problem. After all, we are problem solvers. We like to help our clients solve problems.”

How She Hopes To Help Her Agents

Delgado went on to state that she hopes to help expand agents’ line of products as well as product knowledge. “This will lead them to becoming agents of substance and help elevate their sales [through] cross selling opportunities…” With her call center experience, Delgado has been able to help agents and clients discuss their healthcare options, conduct policy reviews, and make sales over the phone. “Our world is changing and depending far more on technology. It’s important to be able to adapt to our surroundings for unexpected situations such as COVID-19. Electronic enrollments are a must have!” With experience being contracted with a little over 40 carriers, Delgado has expanded her knowledge, allowing her to point to a product that can help solve a client or agent’s problem in no time.

Delgado hopes to get agents to put more ink on paper! “Our success comes from our agent’s success. Providing Medicare 101’s and seminars will help tremendously with our growth. Agents will receive the proper training and tools to make sure clients get exactly what they need to be happy! After all, clients will trust…agents who are knowledgeable and trained.”

Being Active in the Community

“Being involved in the community using local pop up shops and health events will really help agents become more recognized in the community,” stated Delgado. She hopes that these events will facilitate interactions with the community as well as grow their relationship-building experience.

Future Vision For Area

Delgado is looking forward to the growth in her agents. “We are here help them succeed as well as being resourceful to our clients. Building a relationship with our clients is highly important.” In the near future, Delgado wants Laredo to be recognized for their ability to adapt quickly to everyday situations and provide clients with exactly what they need. “To be known for growth, tools, training, expansion of skills, client retention, trust, integrity, and knowledge it is [vital].”
