Being a Resource to Local Businesses

To be successful in the Insurance Industry, it’s imperative that Agents/Brokers find ways to differentiate themselves from their competition. That means that it’s important to “think outside of the box”. A strategy that I believe is significantly underutilized when offering individual insurance products (non-group) is positioning yourself as a resource to business owners. There are many employers in your local market that do not offer group health insurance or other group benefits. That’s where YOU can become the “Group Benefit” as an Agent/Broker. By introducing yourself to local business owners, they can make you available to their employees on an individual basis to gain access to “Group Like Benefits” without any contribution or commitment from the employer.
In this training, we will discuss how you can package “Group Like Benefits” together and offer them to employees and their families on an individual basis to mimic what they would have access to if their employer did offer group benefits.
