Since starting with Empower Brokerage in 2018, Laredo Regional Sales Director Gina Delgado has continuously moved through the ranks and is now expanding her reach across state lines! Gina is currently over the Laredo and San Antonio areas, but she will soon add Tennessee to her RSD repertoire.
Gina started out in the insurance industry over three years ago as a call center life and health agent for United Healthcare. She quickly became licensed to sell in all 50 states and specialized in helping clients choose Medicare Advantage plans that best fit their needs. Then, she came to Empower Brokerage to work as a call center agent before moving up the ladder to work as a regional manager in the Houston area under her now-fellow RSD Karen DeGeurin.
In the spring of 2020, almost exactly two years after starting her career with Empower Brokerage, Gina became the RSD over the Laredo region. In her newest role, Gina will remain over the Laredo region but will add Tennessee to her list of covered areas.
The Tennessee market, Gina says, is full of independent agents whom she hopes to unite under the umbrella of Empower Brokerage. By providing this new group of agents access to our training, resources, and support networks, she hopes to help these agents make a name for themselves and better prepare them for year-round success.
Her knowledge in the Medicare Advantage space will serve her well in this position and will allow her to better educate agents who focus on MA products on other product lines. By educating agents and showing them how to cross-sell and complete electronic enrollments, Gina hopes to provide Tennessee clients with the best possible service. “It is important for our agents to be able to point a product to a problem. After all, we are problem solvers. We like to help our clients solve problems,” she said.
Since she will be based out of Fort Campbell, Gina is excited about the opportunity to work with veterans in her new area. She also aims to reach new communities in Tennessee by helping bilingual populations and engaging with healthcare providers. Through Empower Brokerage’s unique provider relations program, Gina has found great success working alongside healthcare providers. She hopes to continue to grow these relationships across state lines.

Originally from the snow-capped Rockies, Macee moved to Texas in 2016 to pursue an undergraduate degree in Strategic Communication.
